Biography:

Mark Hughes is the proud owner and managing partner of Hurdle & Hughes Attorneys at Law. While born in Voorhees, New Jersey, he grew up in Tampa, Florida. He attended Jackson State University for two years and then transferred to The University of South Florida (USF) where he received his undergraduate degree in Business Finance in 2009. While attending USF and for a short time thereafter, he gained volumes of valuable experience in the world of business finance, banking and insurance.

While in Jackson Mississippi he embarked on his first internship with an insurance companies as an associate claims representative. He enjoyed genuinely helping people with their claims involving personal injury. He worked on countless cases involving car, semi-truck and motorcycle accidents during his summer months in Jackson Mississippi. He has a reputation for being diligent, and always putting his clients concerns first while exhibit exceptional customer service. Shortly thereafter, he recognized his calling was not only to genuinely help people with their problems, but rather become a passionate advocate Attorney for victims who were injured due to the negligence of others.

In 2012, Mark initially decided to attend Southern Law Center in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He completed his legal education in Atlanta, GA John Marshall Law School in 2014 with a Juris Doctorate. During his last year in Law School he interned with Fulton County District Attorney’s Office, where he observed many trial and criminal hearings. In short, he is fortunate to have learned several important aspects of criminal law during his internship.
 
After law school Mark decided to come back to his home state to practice law in Tampa, Florida. Shortly after returning back home he embarked on a journey to serve his country in the United States Coast Guard Reserves. Furthermore, he worked with a mid-size personal injury firm for a few years before he took the leap of faith and decided to form Hurdle & Hughes Attorneys at Law. Mark is known in the community as a charismatic, down to earth individual with the spirit to help anyone down on their luck. He is also a family man who enjoys traveling, sports, entertainment and living for the experiences of life.
